Softball Recap: Browne Comes Up Short

Browne couldn't beat Apollo on Monday even though they stacked five runs on them in the third inning. The Bruins came up short against the Hawks, falling 22-6. The Bruins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2025.

Tunisia Rios was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Annalyssia Ramos was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Browne is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 6.3 runs this season. As for Apollo, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Coming up, Browne will head out on the road to take on Copper Canyon at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Apollo, they will host Dobson at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
