Soccer Recap: Springtown Takes a Loss

Springtown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Collegiate Academy at TCC Northeast Phoenix. That's two games in a row now that the Porcupines have lost by just one goal.

Springtown's loss dropped their record down to 3-7-1. As for Collegiate Academy at TCC Northeast, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-5-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Springtown will host Lake Worth at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Worth's last five games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Collegiate Academy at TCC Northeast, they will welcome Lake Dallas at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Collegiate Academy at TCC Northeast's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
