Softball Game Preview: Boron Bobcats vs. Immanuel Christian Crusaders

The Boron Bobcats will face off against the Immanuel Christian Crusaders at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Immanuel Christian took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Boron, who comes in off a win.

Boron played against Antelope Valley on Friday and won via forfeit.

Immanuel Christian's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Tuesday's struggle, when California City hitters got past them. Immanuel Christian came up short against California City on Tuesday, falling 11-1. The loss continues a trend for the Crusaders in their meetings with the Ravens: they've now lost seven in a row.

Immanuel Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Charlotte Cabrera, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

The win (which was Boron's third in a row) raised their record to 5-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Immanuel Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-2.

Boron couldn't quite get it done against Immanuel Christian in their previous meeting last Saturday as they fell 8-3. Can Boron avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
