Dike-New Hartford waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Hudson Pirates as they made off with a 12-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Wolverines, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

Dike-New Hartford pushed their record up to 11-2-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Hudson, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-16.

Dike-New Hartford has already played their next contest, an 8-7 victory against South Hardin on the 21st. As for Hudson, they are taking a road trip to challenge Columbus at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Pirates are facing the Sailors at the right time seeing as the Sailors are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
