Basketball Recap: Pigeon Forge Find Success

Pigeon Forge's tournament run continued when they took on Glenwood on Saturday. The Pigeon Forge Tigers came out on top against the Glenwood Gators by a score of 51-41.

Despite the loss, Glenwood had strong showings from Bobbi Taylor Breazeale, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 15 boards, and Mimi Johnson, who posted 13 points.

Pigeon Forge's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Glenwood, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Pigeon Forge will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Gibbs at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Glenwood and Marion County will round out the year against one another at at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Marion County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.9 points per game this season.
