Preview: McBee Panthers vs. Chesterfield Golden Rams
McBee is 1-9 against Chesterfield since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The McBee Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Chesterfield Golden Rams at 6:30 p.m.
McBee managed to keep up with Cheraw until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. McBee ended up on the wrong side of a tough 67-47 walloping at the hands of Cheraw. McBee has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Chesterfield entered their tilt with Anson with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Chesterfield blew past Anson 53-17 at home.
Kierra Diggs had an outrageously good game as she almost dropped a triple-double on 12 points, 12 rebounds, and 9 steals. The contest was her third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Terrahjah Robinson, who scored 10 points along with 4 steals.
McBee's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Chesterfield, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
McBee came up short against Chesterfield when the teams last played on Monday, falling 50-39. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Chesterfield's Diggs, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 13 rebounds. Now that McBee knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
