Preview: Crowley vs. Church Point
Church Point will take on Crowley at home at 7:00 PM on Thursday. If the game is anything like the 36-42 finish from the last time they met, the scorekeeper will be kept real busy.
Church Point were the first on the board but had to settle for second at the end of their matchup against Iota last Friday. Church Point fell just short of Iota by a score of 12-15. Things were expected to be close, but in this case the state rankings mixed up the winning team.
Meanwhile, after having lost a blowout in their contest two weeks ago against Iota, Crowley were happy to find some success last Friday. Crowley took down Mamou 33-13.
Crowley's victory lifted them to 4-3 while Church Point's defeat dropped them down to 5-2. We'll see if Crowley's success rolls on or if Church Point are able to steal their positive momentum.
