Soccer Recap: Livermore Takes a Loss

If Livermore was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Amador Valley last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Livermore Cowboys fell just short of the San Ramon Valley Wolves by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Cowboys in their matchups with Wolves: they've now lost three in a row.

Trevor Crouch and Mason Franks scored both of Livermore's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 13 goals.

Livermore's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-5-2. As for San Ramon Valley, they moved to 8-5 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Livermore will challenge Richmond at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Richmond will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Livermore surely won't give up without a fight. As for San Ramon Valley, they will take on Alameda at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
