Basketball Recap: St. Charles Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

St. Charles extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Allison Zelinko. The St. Charles Bulldogs really took it to the Dryden Cardinals for the full four quarters, racking up a 51-22 win thanks in part to Zelinko, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds. Zelinko is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Alivia Hafner was another key player, putting up ten points. Those ten points gave her a new career-high.

St. Charles' victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Dryden, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.

St. Charles will be playing in front of their home fans against Merrill at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Merrill will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something St. Charles surely won't give up without a fight. Dryden has already played their next contest (against Peck), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
