Football Recap: Lowell Takes a Tough Playoff Loss + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lowell can now relate to. They lost 41-21 to the Mt. Pleasant Oilers on Saturday. The Red Arrows were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 21-0.

When it comes to explaining why Lowell lost, don't look at Wyatt Putnam. Despite the final result, he rushed for 185 yards and one touchdown while picking up 8.0 yards per carry, and also threw for 74 yards and a pair of TDs.

Among those leading the charge was Jack Mozurkewich, who picked up 28 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

The loss snapped Lowell's winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 10-3 record. As for Mt. Pleasant, their win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-0.

Lowell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mt. Pleasant, they will take on DeWitt at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday. The Oilers will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least 31 points in their last 12 matchups.
