Basketball Game Preview: Galena Pirates vs. Winnebago Indians

Galena has won six straight games at home, while Winnebago has won six straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Galena Pirates just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Winnebago Indians at 5:30 p.m.

Galena is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Lutheran just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Monday. They had to suffer through a 59-31 loss at the hands of the Crusaders.

Meanwhile, Winnebago got the win against Harlem on Saturday by a conclusive 54-31.

Winnebago is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 14-12 record this season. As for Galena, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-10.

Galena came out on top in a nail-biter against Winnebago in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, sneaking past 41-39. Will Galena repeat their success, or does Winnebago have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
