Georgetown is a perfect 10-0 against Elgin since October of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Eagles will venture away from home to face off against the Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. Georgetown will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Georgetown got the win against East View by a conclusive 3-0.

One reason for the win was Georgetown's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-12, 25-9.

Georgetown found their leader in sophomore Jordan Pitkethley, who had nine digs and four assists.

Meanwhile, Elgin lost 3-0 to Weiss on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Wolves: they've now lost nine in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-8, 25-15.

Georgetown's win bumped their record up to 25-11. As for Elgin, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-23.

Georgetown took their victory against Elgin when the teams last played back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
