Basketball Game Preview: Willamette Wolverines vs. South Eugene Axe

The Willamette Wolverines will take on the South Eugene Axe at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Willamette has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since January 10.

Last Friday, Willamette came up short against Roseburg and fell 61-48.

Meanwhile, South Eugene also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Grants Pass by a score of 59-52.

Willamette's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for South Eugene, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season.

Willamette couldn't quite finish off South Eugene when the teams last played back in January and fell 48-46. Can Willamette avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
