Basketball Recap: Scheck Hillel Community School Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Scheck Hillel Community School can now relate to. They fell just short of the Divine Savior Academy Sharks by a score of 34-32 on Thursday. The Lions' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it six in a row.

Divine Savior Academy was led to victory by Gabby Gallego and Evie Hoppe. Gallego dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards, while Hoppe went 6 for 12 en route to 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance also gave Hoppe a new career-high in field goal percentage (50%).

Scheck Hillel Community School's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Divine Savior Academy, their win bumped their record up to 6-9.
