Soccer Recap: Sterling Wins Going Away Against Oregon

Sterling had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victors by a 4-1 margin over the Oregon Hawks. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Sterling also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2021.

Having lost for the first time this season, Oregon fell to 2-1.

Looking ahead, Sterling will challenge Princeton at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Sterling are facing Princeton at the right time seeing as Princeton are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Oregon, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Rockford Christian at 4:30 p.m. The match will give Oregon their first taste of in-conference action this season.
