Pitman is 8-2 against Downey since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Pitman Pride will venture away from home to challenge the Downey Knights at 4:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Pitman lost 7-1 to Enochs on Tuesday. The match marked the Pride's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Downey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 21st straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Turlock, falling 12-0.

Pitman now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Downey, their loss dropped their record down to 0-11.

Pitman took their victory against Downey in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 13-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pitman since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
