Soccer Recap: Mt. Spokane Comes Up Short

Mt. Spokane and Central Valley squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Mt. Spokane had to settle for second. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Bears who were credited with the win. The Central Valley Bears got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the Mt. Spokane Wildcats' four. Mt. Spokane were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Central Valley earlier this season, when they won 1-1.

Mt. Spokane's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-5-2. As for Central Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Mt. Spokane wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 4-0 victory against North Central on the 13th. As for Central Valley, they will take on Ridgeline at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
