Baseball Recap: Austin Triumphs

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Austin ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Christian Academy Warriors 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted since April 2nd.

Austin has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.

Coming up, Austin will challenge Salem at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Christian Academy, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 16-5 win against Shawe Memorial on the 2nd.
