Basketball Recap: Granite Extends Winning Streak to 12

Granite put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 71-68 win over the Hollis Tigers. The 71-point effort marked Granite's lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Granite pushed their record up to 12-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Hollis, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Granite will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Sayre at 8:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. One thing working in Granite's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. Hollis will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Tipton at 8:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
