Basketball Recap: Poetry Community Christian Takes a Loss

Poetry Community Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 22nd straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 65-24 defeat at the hands of the Trinity Christian Trojans. While losing is never fun, the Pioneer can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1529th, while the Trojans are ranked 720th).

Poetry Community Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Trinity Christian, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Poetry Community Christian will welcome Christian Heritage at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Christian Heritage will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Poetry Community Christian surely won't give up without a fight. As for Trinity Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Parish Episcopal at 6:00 p.m.
