Volleyball Recap: Friendswood Extends Winning Streak to Three

Friendswood waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Santa Fe Indians as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Indians, too.

While Friendswood won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-8, 25-14.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Friendswood to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ashley Adams, who had ten assists and nine digs. That's the most digs Adams has posted since back in August. Another player making a difference was Haley Patton, who had nine digs and two assists.

Friendswood's victory bumped their record up to 26-8. As for Santa Fe, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-19.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Friendswood will square off against rival Angleton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Santa Fe is set to take on their familiar foe Texas City at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
