Volleyball Recap: Norco Takes a Loss

Norco was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Palm Desert Aztecs. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Aztecs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2021.

Norco was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-23.

Norco's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Palm Desert, they pushed their record up to 8-5 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Norco wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Grand Terrace on the 23rd. As for Palm Desert, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Kaiser on the 23rd.
