It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Pueblo East can now relate to. They lost 58-37 to the Falcon Falcons on Saturday. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their 11-game winning streak.

When it comes to explaining why Pueblo East lost, don't look at Myah Abeyta. Despite the final result, she went 7-for-14 to rack up 17 points. What's more, Abeyta posted four rebounds, the most she's had since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Brailey Rowe, who had two points and three steals.

Cobelyn Wiesner was the offensive standout of the contest as she dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Macey Fothergill, who put up five points along with six assists and five rebounds.

Pueblo East's loss dropped their record down to 19-5. As for Falcon, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.

Pueblo East does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Falcon, they will square off against Windsor at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Windsor will roll in looking for their 16th straight victory, something Falcon surely won't give up without a fight.
