Football Recap: Spartanburg Christian Academy Starts off Right with Win over Lee Academy

Spartanburg Christian Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. Everything went their way against the Lee Academy Cavaliers as they made off with a 34-14 win. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Warriors just coasted through the last quarter.

Spartanburg Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Noah Caffell led the charge by rushing for 183 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.2 yards per carry, and also throwing for 48 yards and one TD. That's the most rushing touchdowns Caffell has posted since back in August of 2024. Jacob Wiley was another key rusher, rushing for 92 yards and a pair of scores on only 11 carries.

Spartanburg Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 27-12 victory against Clarendon Hall on the 22nd. As for Lee Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Dillon Christian at 7:30 p.m. on the 29th.
