Volleyball Recap: St. Stephens Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

St. Stephens needed a changed in momentum after dropping five straight matches and they got it from Natalie Escamilla. The Indians were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Freedom Patriots on Tuesday for which the team can thank Escamilla, who had eight digs and five aces. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.

St. Stephens was especially dominant in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-19, 25-8.

St. Stephens' victory bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Freedom, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.

St. Stephens wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against McDowell on the 2nd. Freedom has also already played their next contest (against South Caldwell), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
