Marist is a perfect 5-0 against Marian Catholic since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The RedHawks will square off against the Spartans at 6:00 p.m. Marist will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

On Thursday, Marist was able to grind out a solid win over Glenbrook South, taking the game 2-0.

Marist easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Marian Catholic had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Nazareth Academy on Tuesday.

While Marian Catholic might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Nazareth Academy scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-21.

Marist pushed their record up to 14-1 with the win, which was their 26th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Marian Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 6-9.

Marist was able to grind out a solid win over Marian Catholic in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the RedHawks since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
