Basketball Game Preview: Knoxville Catholic Fighting Irish vs. Cocke County Fighting Cocks

The Knoxville Catholic Fighting Irish and the Cocke County Fighting Cocks will face off at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Knoxville Catholic picked up another tournament win on Monday. They took down Greeneville 50-34. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Fighting Irish.

Amaya Redd was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. The contest was her third in a row with at least ten points. Maggie Frana was another key player, putting up 11 points and six boards.

Meanwhile, Cocke County beat J.L. Mann 48-36 on Monday.

Cocke County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.1 points per game. As for Knoxville Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 10-7.
