Football Recap: Geneva Piles Up the Points Against Sabinal + How To Watch

Geneva strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They breezed past the Sabinal Yellowjackets to the tune of 69-26. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Geneva's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Caleb Quitadamo led the charge by throwing for 394 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.9 yards per attempt, and also punching in a pair of scores on the ground. The dominant performance also gave Quitadamo a new career-high in passer rating (145.1). Geneva's leading receiver Brady Chandler was Quitadamo's top target yet again, picking up 202 receiving yards and four TDs.

Geneva's defense stepped up as well, laying out Aiden Tinker. three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Koen Huebner, Reid Wilson, and Bryce Hanover, who each picked up one sack apiece. Another thorn in Sabinal's side was Huebner, who picked up a sack and made ten total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Although Sabinal took the loss, they still got scores from Blake Beza, Andy Reyes, Jace Clark, and Tinker.

Geneva's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Sabinal, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
