Baseball Recap: Northeast Guilford Rams vs. Dudley Panthers

The home team had come away the winner the last six times Northeast Guilford and Dudley had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Rams fell 6-1 to the Panthers on Wednesday. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Rams couldn't push the score so high this time.

Josh Jones was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. He is becoming a predictor of Northeast Guilford's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 2-1 (and 7-9 when he doesn't). Jones was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with three stolen bases.
