Baseball Game Preview: Marianapolis Prep Golden Knights vs. Cushing Academy Penguins

The Marianapolis Prep Golden Knights will face off against the Cushing Academy Penguins at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Marianapolis Prep is headed into Saturday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dexter Southfield.

Marianapolis Prep saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Foskett, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Nick Gouveia also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Cushing Academy started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Dexter Southfield. They lost 12-2 to Dexter Southfield on Wednesday.

Cushing Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Marianapolis Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Marianapolis Prep might still be hurting after the 12-1 defeat they got from Cushing Academy in their previous matchup back in May of 2019. Can the Golden Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
