Volleyball Recap: Northridge Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Northridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Timnath Cubs, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Grizzlies of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-16, 25-12.

Sophia Carbajal paced Northridge's offense, picking up eight kills. Carbajal got some help from Dalanie Jones and her 11 assists. Ella Burkholder controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Northridge's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Timnath, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Northridge will square off against rival Mountain View at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Timnath is set to challenge their familiar foe Greeley Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
