The Kennett Indians will face off against the Senath-Hornersville Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Having struggled with five losses in a row, Kennett finally turned things around against Holcomb on Monday. They had just enough and edged the Hornets out 3-2.
Kennett took Holcomb into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-21, 24-26, 23-25, 15-12.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Senath-Hornersville, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over East Prairie on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Lions as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-13, 18-25, 25-17.
The win got Kennett back to even at 6-6-1. As for Senath-Hornersville, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.
