Loris and Carolina Forest are an even 4-4-1 against one another since February of 2018, but likely not for long. The Lions will head out on the road to take on the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Loris is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Waccamaw with a sharp 13-3 win on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Lions needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Bellamie Gore made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). Gore was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Haley Spence was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, four stolen bases, and four runs. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenzie McCoy, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs.
Loris kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Waccamaw only managed seven hits.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Carolina Forest faced off against Conway two weeks ago. The Panthers skirted past the Tigers 3-1. Surprisingly, this marked the Panthers' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.
Kaysen Warehime spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 15 Ks.
At the plate, Carolina Forest saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zoey Wohlers, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.
Carolina Forest is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Loris, they now have a winning record of 11-10-1.
