Placer has gone a perfect 3-0 against Yuba City recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Placer Hillmen will challenge the Yuba City Honkers at 7:30 p.m.

On Monday, Placer didn't have quite enough to beat Twelve Bridges and fell 55-52. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Hillmen came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 84th, while the Raging Rhinos are ranked 227th).

Yuba City hasn't had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 65-59 W against Del Campo. That's two games straight that the Honkers have won by exactly six points.

Yuba City's victory bumped their record up to 9-17. As for Placer, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 9-1 and their overall record down to 23-3.

Placer took their win against Yuba City in their previous matchup back in January by a conclusive 65-41. The rematch might be a little tougher for Placer since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
