Baseball Recap: St. George's Takes a Loss

St. George was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 21st straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 17-4 to the Portsmouth Abbey Ravens. The Dragons were not able to make up for their defeat to the Ravens from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Nate Walsh made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That run was his first of the season. Danny Buckley was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

St. George's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Portsmouth Abbey, the win was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. George's will head out to face off against Buckingham Browne & Nichols at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Portsmouth Abbey, they will venture away from home to challenge Bancroft at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
