Volleyball Recap: Opelika Comes Up Short

Opelika was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Spain Park Jaguars.

Spain Park found their leader in sophomore Madden Scott, who had seven digs and two aces.

Opelika's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Spain Park, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Coming up, Opelika will venture away from home to take on Benjamin Russell at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Spain Park, they have already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Lamar on the 23rd.
