Basketball Recap: Central Valley Christian Now 6-2 over Last Eight Games

If Exeter wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Central Valley Christian, they should've done a better job of containing Caden Lloyd. The Central Valley Christian Cavaliers blew past the Exeter Monarchs 65-31 on Thursday thanks in part to Lloyd, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 18 rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last 26 games he's played dating back to last season.

Another player making a difference was Austin Vander Tuig, who posted four points and seven boards. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2024.

Exeter's loss came despite strong showings from Aden Plyman and Blaine Mcfall. Plyman put up 11 points, while Mcfall earned seven points and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Iversen, who had two points and five rebounds.

Central Valley Christian has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season. As for Exeter, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-6.

Central Valley Christian has already played their next contest, a 57-48 win against Sierra Pacific on the 4th. As for Exeter, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 54-49 victory against Hanford West on the 4th.
