Baseball Game Preview: Fertile-Beltrami Falcons vs. Sacred Heart Eagles

Fertile-Beltrami is 0-8 against Sacred Heart since May of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Falcons will face off against the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Fertile-Beltrami is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.

Fertile-Beltrami proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 14) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Win-E-Mac 6-4.

Meanwhile, while Sacred Heart put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Fosston. The Eagles blew past the Greyhounds 12-0. Considering the Eagles have won five matches by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Fertile-Beltrami's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Sacred Heart, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

Fertile-Beltrami suffered a grim 13-5 defeat to Sacred Heart in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
