 Sadly, DCP Alum Rock is still looking for their first win of the season after seven  matchups. Their  rough  25-12 loss to the California School for the Deaf Eagles  on Monday might stick with them for a while. Both teams can probably skip cardio this week after making that many trips around the bases.
 DCP Alum Rock got a big performance out of  Gitean "Git" Rube, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of  Andrea Munguia, who  got on base  in four of her five plate appearances with four  RBI and a  run.
 Even though they lost, DCP Alum Rock  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .622. That's the best  OBP they've managed all season.
 On California School for the Deaf's side,  Julianna Hammons was a major factor no matter where she played. She  struck out six batters over  4.1 innings while giving up  three earned  (and one unearned) runs off only  one  hit. Hammons was even better at the plate,  getting on base  in all five of her plate appearances with a  home run, six  additional RBI,  and three  additional runs.
 In other batting news,  Geneva Brock was  incredible,  firing off two  home runs, six  additional RBI,  and  an  additional run while  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Gabriella Bibb, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances.
 DCP Alum Rock's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for California School for the Deaf,  the  victory  made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 2-0.
 DCP Alum Rock will be playing in front of their home fans against Latino College Preparatory Academy at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for California School for the Deaf, they will head out on the road to  square off against  The Bay School at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
