Recap: Polson Pirates vs. Hamilton Broncs
The Polson Pirates lost against the Hamilton Broncs back in October of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Polson was the victim of a rough 33-13 defeat at the hands of Hamilton. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Polson in their matchups with Hamilton: they've now lost five in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Polson lost, one person who can't be blamed is Brock Henriksen. Despite the final result, he rushed for nine yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 74 receiving yards.
Among those leading the charge was Lucas Lant, who rushed for 68 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 150 yards and two touchdowns. Lant is on a roll when it comes to solo tackles, as he's now made six or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Clayton Beall, who gained 72 total yards and two touchdowns.
Polson's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Hamilton, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
Polson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hamilton will look to defend their home field on Friday against Bigfork at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Montana (Bigfork is ranked 20th, while Hamilton is ranked ninth).
