Wahama extended their postseason success on Friday against Man. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hillbillies, sneaking past 5-4. Winning may never get old, but the Falcons sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Wahama let Aby Flowers and Audrey Reynolds run wild. Flowers went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple, while Reynolds got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run. That's the most hits Flowers has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Mary Brinker, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Wahama kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in three consecutive contests.
Wahama's victory bumped their record up to 26-12. As for Man, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-10.
Wahama didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-2 defeat against Wheeling Central Catholic on the 29th. Man does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
