Basketball Recap: Addenbrooke Classical Academy's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Addenbrooke Classical Academy extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Lucia Rodriguez. The Addenbrooke Classical Academy Mustangs walked away with a 48-40 win over the Wellington Eagles on Wednesday thanks in part to Rodriguez, who went 11 for 27 to rack up 28 points along with eight boards and seven steals. Those 28 points gave her a new career-high.

Another player making a difference was Brynleigh Politsch, who posted a point and five steals. She has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 14 times she's played.

Despite the defeat, Wellington had strong showings from Brookelyn Jones, who shot 5-for-9 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds, and Sami Jacquez, who put up three points in addition to ten boards and three steals. Jones continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last five games she's played. Paige Hock was another key player, putting up four points and eight rebounds.

Addenbrooke Classical Academy pushed their record up to 14-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points over those games. As for Wellington, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.

Addenbrooke Classical Academy has already played their next contest, a 32-27 win against Arrupe Jesuit on the 7th. As for Wellington, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 74-41 loss against Northridge on the 7th.
