Football Recap: Orestimba Starts Season with Win Against Gustine + How To Watch

Orestimba took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. Everything went their way against the Gustine Reds as they made off with a 26-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Reds: they've now won five in a row.

Orestimba's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Giovanni Gudino led the charge by rushing for 84 yards and a pair of scores on only six carries. The Warriors also got a significant boost from Jose Cuevas, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 104 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Orestimba was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 248 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in August of 2024.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Orestimba will venture away from home to square off against Grace Davis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Gustine, they will head out to challenge Millennium at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
