The Maconaquah Braves will venture away from home to square off against the Hamilton Heights Huskies at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Maconaquah is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.

On Thursday, Maconaquah came up short against Western and fell 8-3. The loss continues a trend for the Braves in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost nine in a row.

Bennett Isenburg was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one double. That double was his first of the season. Cohen Helmuth was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Hamilton Heights couldn't beat Western on Wednesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Huskies took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. The Huskies just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Maconaquah's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Hamilton Heights, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Maconaquah was able to grind out a solid victory over Hamilton Heights in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 11-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Braves since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
