After a string of six wins, Palisade's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Coal Ridge Titans. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Titans earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Ascher Morby was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. Ethan Bevan was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Palisade's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Coal Ridge, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2-1 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Palisade will take on Fruita Monument at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Coal Ridge, they will face off against Gunnison at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
