Marais des Cygnes Valley came tearing into Thursday's contest with 14 straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Eureka Tornadoes by a score of 2-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Marais des Cygnes Valley took both sets by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-13.

Emily Criqui paced Marais des Cygnes Valley's offense, picking up 11 kills. Criqui got some help from Akyra Michelle Traver and her 22 assists. Mady Rose controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Marais des Cygnes Valley's victory bumped their record up to 20-1. As for Eureka, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.
