Soccer Game Preview: Mauldin vs. J.L. Mann

The Mauldin Mavericks will face off against the J.L. Mann Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Mauldin comes in on three and J.L. Mann on five.

On Tuesday, Mauldin made easy work of Woodmont and carried off an 8-1 victory. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 6-1.

Meanwhile, J.L. Mann kept a clean sheet against Greenwood on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 4-0 margin over the Eagles. The result was nothing new for J.L. Mann, who have now won nine contests by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Greenwood with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Laney Keith (2), Angela Liu, and Emilyn Kneeland.

J.L. Mann pushed their record up to 14-2-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those four matchups. As for Mauldin, their win bumped their record up to 13-4.
