Volleyball Game Preview: Malden Green Wave vs. Bloomfield Wildcats

The Malden Green Wave will head out on the road to face off against the Bloomfield Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Tuesday, Malden came up short against Bernie and fell 3-1. The Green Wave have struggled against the Mules recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-12, 16-25, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Bloomfield lost 3-0 to Sikeston on Monday.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 29-27, 26-24, 25-16.

Bloomfield's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Malden, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-5-3.

Malden came out on top in a nail-biter against Bloomfield in their previous matchup two weeks ago, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Green Wave since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
