Hope lost to Mt. Pleasant back in February of 2021, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Hope Blue Wave strolled past the Mt. Pleasant Kilties with points to spare, taking the game 48-30. Winning may never get old, but the Blue Wave sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

It was another big night for Sa-Moni McKay, who went 12 for 26 on her way to 28 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Jorday Johnson, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.

Hope smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Hope's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Mt. Pleasant, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Hope will welcome Block Island at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mt. Pleasant has already played their next game (against Exeter-West Greenwich), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
