Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Water Valley). They walked away with a 60-48 victory over the Rankin Red Devils on Saturday. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Water Valley now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Rankin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-6.

Water Valley and Rankin's offenses will be put to the test in their next games. Water Valley and Garden City (who has only given up 26.82 points per game) will meet at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Rankin will square off against Sanderson at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025, a team that's only allowed 21.2 points per game.
